BRITAIN PRESENTS FUTILE PROTEST ON SHANGHAI SEIZURE.

LONDON, (AP) - Britain protested today Red China's seizure of the Brutish consular compound in Shanghai, but Peking's envoy refused to accept the British note.

The Foreign Office announced that Charge d'Affaires Shen Ping was summoned to receive the complaint against what the British said was the "arbitrary requisition of Britain's consular compound."

The revolutionary committee of Red Guards in Shanghai took over the compound Sep. 9. The British had occupied it since 1851.
