Colonial Cases

Minor cases China, 1885

Daily Alta California, 1 November 1885

A globe-trotting Englishman, who has arrived with a Chinese wife on the Gaelic, is in trouble because he cannot land her.  Surveyor Morton will not recognize a British Consular certificate for his wife.  The sufferer will probably take his case into court, and his wife and children will cost him a sum before he can land them.
