Newcastle 4th Sept 1826

Sir,

I have the honor to transmit herewith a Copy of a Letter from the Colonial Secretary, and with reference to the enquiry ordered by His Excellency the Governor, beg to acquaint you, that Liet . Low proposed to return from Sydney by the next Packet (say Saturday the 9th Instant) and conceiving Wallis Plains to be the most convenient point for meeting, I should suggest our assembling at the Government Cottage on Wednesday the 13th Instant, by which time the different persons concerned can be brought together.
