Colonial Cases

New York

I have not begun to look for pre-revolutionary New York newspapers on the Paper of Record website. I did, however, find the following in the Halifax Gazette.

Debtors' escape, 1766

R. v. Wilson, 1753 [flogging, of women]

In 1879, what appears to be a British Consular Court committed a man to trial in England for an offence committed on board a ship:

R. v. Cutting, 1879 [manslaughter]
