WINONA DAILY REPUBLICAN, MN., Saturday 30 April1870 (2)

CORINNE, April 30. - The body of J. McBane was found to-day floating in Bear River, near this city.  He was missed here several days since.  A coroner's inquest was held and the verdict rendered was: Foully dealt with and thrown into the river.  Letters have been received here lately from friends of the deceased in Iowa and Ohio, saying that they had heard of his death several days before he left this city.
