Macquarie University Law Society (MULS)
The Macquarie University Law Society (MULS) is a representative body for all law students at Macquarie. It aims to enhance the Macquarie law degree by helping students in personal and professional development, improving the quality of education for law students, and providing opportunities for law students to enjoy the social side of university life.
All law students at Macquarie are members of MULS. Some of the events and opportunities which you may have access to as a MULS member include:
- Events such as First Year Law Camp, Law Ball, Commemorative Dinner, Law Cruise and Sports Days.
- Competitions such as Junior and Senior Mooting, Client Interview, Witness Examination, Negotiation, Paper Presentation and various external competitions, which are sponsored through the partnerships MULS has with leading commercial law firms in Sydney.
- Career Development Events, such as Clerkship Events, Careers Workshops, International Careers and Clerkship Events, Professional Mentoring Program.
- Job vacancies and workshops, as well as the publication of a Paralegal Guide, Careers Guide and firm contact details.
- Support for external students, including networking events.
- Support for a range of social justice, community involvement, health, welfare and financial assistance issues, through the position of Equity Officer.
MULS is committed to advocating on behalf of law students and enjoys a close relationship with the academic staff of Macquarie Law School.
