for research into Indigenous aspects of Internet Law (full-time)
$19,616 p.a. (tax-free) for up to four years
As a memorial to its former Head of Department, the Department of Business Law at Macquarie University in Sydney and the auDA Foundation are seeking applications from appropriately qualified candidates for a PhD scholarship for one indigenous Australian student to undertake research into indigenous aspects of Internet law.

Low opened a pathway for indigenous Australians into postgraduate studies
in conjunction with the Warawara Department of Indigenous Studies, which
provides academic and cultural support for all indigenous students at Macquarie
University.
Applicants are specifically encouraged to suggest potential research programs of their own design in areas relating to Indigenous aspects of Internet law. Potential areas of research could include:
•
Online dispute resolution programs for remote communities;
• Legal systems to protect online access to traditional culture and medicines;
• Equity issues relating to access to the Internet in rural and remote regions.
