Macquarie Law School presents a special guest seminar:
From Cape Town to Kabul: Rethinking Women's Human Rights
Our distinguished speaker is Penelope Andrews, Professor of Law at Valparaiso University, Indiana.
Her paper presents a reconsideration of the feminist legal agenda, in light of recent developments regarding
women in plural societies, and particularly women in indigenous or religious communities who experience a
certain tension between their cultural and/or religious identity, and their status as women.
