Law and Property Rights Research Centre
The Law and Property Rights Research Centre is comprised of researchers located in the Division of Law, Macquarie University. Together with researchers from other disciplines at Macquarie University and research associates from a consortium of international universities, they are dedicated to the study of the relationship between law and property rights. The Law and Property Rights Research Centre is affiliated with the Centre for the Interdisciplinary Study of Property Rights at the University of Newcastle. Current topics being studied by researchers in the Law and Property Rights Research Centre include:
- native title
- the legal regulation of body parts
- property rights of animals
- historical study of inheritance
- indigenous cultural property rights
- fraudulent land transactions
- historical study of Australian land law
- religion and the right to property
- property rights and the constitution
