Information for Authors: Instructions for Contributors

Contributions to the journal can be emailed to the Editor, at Publications@mq.edu.au or posted to Macquarie Law Journal, Division of Law, Macquarie University, NSW 2109.

Contributions should be submitted in typewritten form using Word for Windows 6.0 or later. Articles should be saved in Rich Text Format (RTF).

Contributions should follow the Australian Guide to Legal Citation which can be viewed at: http://www.mulr.law.unimelb.edu.au/aglc.asp.

Articles should be no more than 10,000 words in length (inclusive of footnotes).

Contributors are requested to submit an abstract of approximately 150 words as well as brief biographical details of the author(s).

Submissions must not have been published in, or submitted to any other publication.

All articles appearing in the Journal are anonymously peer-reviewed. The process of reviewing usually takes about 6 weeks. Authors will be notified as soon as possible of the decision of the Editorial Committee regarding publication.

Although articles will be subject to a rigorous editing process, the accuracy of quotations, titles, names, dates and footnotes is the responsibility of the author.

Copyright of articles and other contributions published in the Macquarie Law Journal is vested in the journal and its contributors. Apart from any fair dealing for the purposes of private study, research, criticism or review as permitted under the Copyright Act, no part may be reproduced by any process without written permission. Inquiries should be directed to the Editors.
