Conveyancing Program
The Conveyancing Law and Practice program is offered through Macquarie Law School, in conjunction with Macquarie's Centre for Open Education. The Conveyancing Law and Practice program at Macquarie University has been at the forefront of conveyancing education since the program was first offered in 1994. The program is designed to provide a thorough grounding in the law and practice of conveyancing, through a rigorous examination of the relevant legal and practical skills.
The Conveyancing Law and Practice program is offered by distance education. While this method of learning demands discipline and commitment, it is ideal for students already in full-time employment or with family or other commitments that prevent regular attendance at lectures.
A conveyancer has an important role in ensuring the legality of a sale or purchase of property. Licensed conveyancers are able to undertake a wide range of legal work relating to property and business. They may act as legal advisors in the sale, purchase, mortgage or lease of residential and commercial property and small business, within the guidelines set down in the current Conveyancers Licensing Act. Macquarie's Conveyancing Law and Practice program aims to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge to undertake these tasks.
