As an economist in the Directorate for Economics in France's Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, Olivier Teissier is an economic adviser on all subjects relating to energy. He controls the investments planned by the state-owned utilities, EDF and GDF (total amount of USD 5 billion per year), and has worked on the regulation of the energy sector. He is an assistant professor in economics at the "Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées".
Mr Teissier has worked extensively on the issue of electricity taxation, both at the French and the national level.
