Yasushi Ito has studied problems of the energy tax system in Japan, including special taxation measures such as accelerated depreciation. He is now interested in the cordination between the reform of the existing energy tax system and the introduction of additional carbon taxes, and related to the NGO that appeals for the introduction of carbon taxes in Japan.
