Warwick Giblin has had a longstanding interest in environmental taxation, believing that there is enormous potential in the free enterprise system to use economic instruments to change human behaviour for the good of the planet.
Warwick's work in this field commenced at Sydney Water in the early 1990's. Since then he has promoted the same philosophy in waste management. The NZ Government is considering the introduction of a waste levy, similar to levies elsewhere in the world which aim to stimulate waste minimisation and resource recovery.
