Michael Faure is professor of comparative and international environmental law at the law faculty of Maastricht University (the Netherlands). He is also academic director of the Maastricht European Institute for transnational legal research (METRO) at the same faculty and academic director of the Ius Commune research school, a collaboration between the law faculties of the Catholic University of Leuven and the Universities of Utrecht en Maastricht. He publishes in the areas of environmental law, accident law and law and economics.
