Professor Nathalie Chalifour

Nathalie Chalifour is currently focusing her research on analyzing opportunities for ecological fiscal reform to achieve nature conservation in Canada, as part of her thesis for a Juridical Sciences Doctorate at Stanford University. She is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa. As a Senior Policy Adviser to World Wildlife Fund from 1999 - 2001, she initiated research on ecological taxation reform for the forest sector in Canada. She worked as Senior Advisor to the President of the National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy from 2001-2002. The Round Table has been exploring opportunities for ecological fiscal reform in Canada for several years.
