People and Planet Requirements

Law Student People and Planet requirements

  • Combined degree students must take their P&P units from two different faculties.
  •  You can count either (but not both) of the P&P units offered by the Law School towards their P&P requirement:
      i)   LEX 101 - "Law, Institutions and People - A Global Perspective" or
ii)  LEX 102 - "Sustainability, Science and the Law".
  •  Note:
From 2013 onwards, LEX 101 and LEX 102, can be credited towards a Major in Public Policy, Law and Governance under the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Social Science degrees.
  • Students can therefore take both LEX 101 and LEX 102, counting one towards their P&P requirement and the other towards a PPLG Major should they choose to complete that program of study alongside their LLB degree.  The same unit cannot be credited towards a Major and P&P requirement.
