Biographical Details
I’m a Visiting Postdoctoral Research Fellow of MU-CEL from August 2007 to August 2008. I have been involved in several research projects in China and particularly interested in the areas of Eco-civilization and the Evolution of Environmental Law’s function. I firmly believe that, the principles & power of law originate from the society. The formation of Environmental Law and its evolution, which are closely related to the change of social life, is not imaginary but practical, arising from the society. In the past, Environmental Law is the product of Eco-civilization, and it is the tool to maintain Eco-civilization for now. In the future, it is bound to be the force to promote Eco-civilization.
During my stay at MU-CEL, my research will be primarily in the area of climate change. It will focus particularly on how China can improve its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In my opinion, China will play a major role in this common global activity for it is not only a great power but also a very responsible country.
My supervisors are Professor Michael Jeffery, QC Director of the Centre for Environmental Law and Professor Donna Craig, Head of the Department of Environmental Law.
