Professor Michael Jeffery speaks at Israeli International Ecology Conference in May 2005
Professor Michael Jeffery, QC was one of two speakers from Australia sponsored by the Pratt Foundation to participate in the 2005 International Conference Living with Global Change: Challenges in Environmental Sciences. The conference included a selection of invited talks by top experts from Israel and approximately 30 speakers from abroad dealing with environmental sciences and global change. Professor Jeffery joined Justice Dennis A. Cowdroy, OAM of the NSW Land and Environment Court and seven other distinguished speakers at an all day symposium exploring legal issues highlighting changes in environmental law in the 21st Century. Michael delivered a paper on Environmental Governance.
After an interruption of several years the management of the Israel Society of Ecological and Environmental Quality Sciences (ISEEQS) decided to continue the Society’s tradition of International Conferences. The 6th International conference was held over three days, from May 30 to June 1, 2005 at the Weizmann Institute of Science (hosted by the Department of Environmental Sciences and Energy Research).
