MU-CEL strengthens heritage links in Asia - admitted as member of the Asian Academy of Heritage Management.
Susan Shearing represented MU-CEL at the World Monuments Fund/ ICOMOS Sri Lanka conference on Heritage Conservation on South and Southeast Asia in July 2004. Shortly thereafter MU-CEL was admitted to membership in the Asian Academy of Heritage Management which will provide MU-CEL access to a broad network of institutions involved in heritage management throughout Asia and the opportunity to participate in seminars, workshops and collaborative projects with other Academy members.
Susan was also invited to present a paper at the National Convention of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage held in New Delhi in November. Whilst in Delhi, Susan was invited by the President of the Delhi Bar Association to address members of the Association in relation to cultural heritage conservation issues.
