PhD Candidates
Wendy Howe
I have worked in academic, government and commercial sectors on a variety of projects in the environmental and natural resource area over the last 15 years or so.
These projects have included both national and international perspectives and spanned an array of disciplines and policy issues.
Briefly, my work and interests have covered
- emerging environmental and natural resource management issues and government responses
- greenhouse issues and climate change, climate modelling and an understanding of the interaction of the natural resource components contained in the models
- project management, coordination practices for various government departmental projects
- consulting, researching, proofing, editing and report writing on various environmental and natural resource topics
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New England, (double major in Human and Physical Geography) and a Master of Environmental Law degree from Macquarie University.
I was also awarded the Deputy Vice-Chancellors’ Award for Academic Excellence, and with this encouragement, I began my PhD candidature in July 2006. My topic is Australia's Current Climate Change Regime and my supervisors are Professors Donna Craig and Michael Jeffery.
